Estonian Designers in Dublin: A Journey Through Irish Design and Culture

At the end of May, a group of Estonian designers visited Dublin, the capital of Ireland, where they explored local design studios, institutions focused on visual culture, and design education.

Vietnam is a country bursting with life, colour, and contrasts. The bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City are a whirlwind of movement—cars honking, street vendors shouting, and an endless sea of scooters weaving through the chaos. It may seem overwhelming at first, but somehow, everything functions in perfect disorder.

Cuba is a place where time seems to have taken a pause, yet creativity and visual storytelling remain in constant motion. Walking through the streets of Havana or other Cuban cities, one immediately notices how architecture, signage, and branding coexist in a unique and organic way. Unlike the neon-dominated commercial spaces of the Western world, Cuba’s streets tell their stories through handcrafted signs, hand-painted advertisements, and a rich blend of colonial and modernist architecture.

This time the Estonian Design Centre's inspiration trip took us to Barcelona, where together with the network of Estonian design companies we took a peek behind the scenes of their local design offices.

Barcelona is considered a hub of design in Europe as well as the world, which was evident in their comfortable urban space as well as the entire ambiance of the city.
