we partnered with the University of Tartu Academic Sports Club to create a fresh, modern website that reflects the club’s dynamic community and broad sporting activities. The goal was to design and build a platform that could clearly communicate events, news, training opportunities and club information — while feeling welcoming to both students and the broader public.

Understanding the academic sports club and its needs
Our process began with in-depth discovery sessions with the Academic Sports Club team. We explored the organisation’s identity, its services, and the needs of its diverse audience — from competitive athletes to recreational participants. Mapping user goals helped us define key content priorities and functional requirements before moving into design.
Design direction and mobile-first thinking
From the outset, we approached the project with a mobile-first mindset. For many users — students in particular — the website is primarily accessed on the go, often between trainings or events. This guided our decisions on layout, navigation and content hierarchy.
We focused on clear structures, strong typographic contrast and touch-friendly interactions to ensure essential information is always easy to find. The visual language balances energy and clarity, drawing from the club’s dynamic character while respecting the University of Tartu’s visual context.
